- Hookups
- The connections at a campsite: electric, fresh water and often sewer. A site with all three is called full hookups.
- Shore power
- Electric from the campsite post, through the RV’s power cord. It runs the air conditioning and the outlets.
- Fresh water tank
- The RV’s own drinking and washing water, for when there is no water hookup.
- Grey tank
- Holds the water from the sinks and the shower.
- Black tank
- Holds the toilet waste. It is emptied through the sewer hose at a sewer hookup or a dump station.
- Dump station
- A place at many campgrounds and travel stops to empty the holding tanks.
- LP gas (propane)
- Fuel for the stove and, in many RVs, the water heater, furnace and fridge.
